After leaving Helen, we swung over to Dahlonega and got there just as the Celtic festival was wrapping up. A bagpipe band was still playing and we got there in time to visit the candle store Goy wanted to go to.

HAWAII STATE TEAM TIME TRIAL CHAMPIONSHIP

Today the team participated in the Hawaii State Team Time Trial Championship near Kualoa Park. I woke up around 0530 and decided to go ahead and head out. I had packed up the truck the night before, so I was ready to roll. There were a lot of people already there when I got there and HACC had a great showing with four teams competing and all were mixed teams.
I rode with John Girmsey, Brian Denaro, and Linsey Cousins. All three are strong riders and I knew we would be a good team.

The aftermath...looks like a bomb was set off in the middle of a bunch of bicycles.

Lots of fun today!

ST. PATRICK'S DAY 5K

This morning a few of us met at Hickam Gym at 0545 to ride our bikes over to Ford Island for the 1st St. Patrick's Day 5K. It was a fun run with a good turn out. I saw lots of familiar faces!

Mike gives me an action photo.
Great crowd & great weather.
You can't beat a run on a beautiful Hawaii morning...we could have been at work!

John was warming up while I was taking pictures.
This was the best...this guy showed up "Braveheart" style...painted face, kilt and all!

SLEEPY HEAD
